Green Energy Solar Welcomes Newport’s Push for Regeneration and Growth

Newport City Council has announced a new £500,000 investment to support economic development and promote the city as a place for business and innovation. The fund will help drive the next phase of regeneration, boost Newport’s profile locally and nationally, and attract new investment that creates jobs and strengthens the economy.

Part of this funding will go towards recruiting a commercial specialist to accelerate regeneration plans, particularly in the city centre. As Councillor Clarke, cabinet member for regeneration and economic growth, noted:

“The investment will secure the skills and knowledge needed to make sure we can target the investment we need to ensure that the city’s regeneration reaches its potential… Newport has lots to offer and we need to be proudly shouting about those assets, our ambitions and its exciting future.”

At Green Energy Solar we have already played a part in Newport’s drive for sustainability and innovation through our solar installations for businesses and homes across the city.
